The Shelter Rock Library was a 22,710 sf structure in need of renovation. Cameron Engineering provided Mechanical, Electrical Plumbing and Fire Protection (M/E/P/F) Engineering Services. The renovation program included a 360 sf addition to house a new elevator and egress stair along with a 330 sf infill to an existing mezzanine. In addition to the replacement of the remaining existing mechanical systems, a separate line for fire sprinklers was introduced. The construction proceeded while the Library remained operational. Phasing of the work was required.

Cameron Engineering performed a field survey of existing conditions and reviewed existing building drawings. Coordination meetings were held with Library staff. Load letters were provided to the electric and natural gas utility. Cameron Engineering designed and prepared Contract Documents including Drawings and Technical Specifications ready for bid for the engineering work. Construction Administration Phase services were provided as well. Cameron Engineering’s MEP Project Manager attended construction meetings/site visits to observe the work and ensure quality.
