Mr. Zapolski is a professional Civil/Site Engineer with 27 years of experience in Urban Planning and Land Development. He has planning and civil engineering design experience in several sectors including educational, residential, commercial, and industrial land development throughout the northeast, primarily in Suffolk and Nassau Counties, Long Island, NY as well as FEMA NIMS training in Town and County Emergency Operations.

In his former position as Planning Commissioner at the Town of Islip, he was responsible for five divisions of the Department, including Building, Engineering, Planning, Economic Development and Zoning Board of Appeals.  Mr. Zapolski served as Committee Member of three GOSR New York Rising – Community Reconstruction Programs, and was instrumental in damage assessment and recovery efforts during and following Superstorm Sandy.  Prior to this position, he served as Chief Engineer and was responsible for many civil engineering, drainage, stormwater management and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans.
