Cameron Engineering manages a construction project as the Owner’s Representative, with services dedicated to controlling the project’s time, cost and quality. A project management plan is initially provided for implementation and administration, and an effective, centralized project control program is developed to focus on decisions which need to be made. These project controls are quickly and easily updated to assure that the plan is accurate and achievable, and that the project schedule can be maintained.

We keep construction moving by effectively administering contracts; managing cost and schedule control systems; implementing procedures to track correspondence, requests for information, submittals and change orders; conducting quality inspections; and providing resources required for special services, such as estimating and community relations. On renovation or expansion projects, we plan carefully to minimize disruption of a facility’s occupants and ongoing operations. Our detailed schedules track contractor progress and allow problems to be identified and alternative solutions implemented. Cost control is extremely important to the success of a project. Using our computer models, we implement practical methods to organize and record actual costs and place tight control on expenditure of monies. A cash flow program is used to assure that planned expenses and contractor progress are maintained in proper proportion.

Management information and project status is reported to the Owner, contractors and Cameron Engineering staff with the proper amount
of detail necessary for each organization. Areas of concern and action steps are highlighted to make all entities aware of project status, potential problems and available solutions. We believe that providing contractors with important scheduling information is the best way to deliver to the Owner a job well done. We recommend better ways to perform a task or alternate solutions that prevent delays. We schedule to save time, expedite information and approvals, and inspect to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents. When the contractor performs work properly and successfully, all parties benefit. Our comprehensive approach to Construction Management assures timely and cost effective projects. We prefer to operate as an extension of the Owner’s staff with a teamwork approach utilizing customized services to produce a successful project.
