Diocese of Rockville Centre

Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP (Cameron Engineering) provided Due Diligence Facility Condition Assessments for the Diocese of Rockville Center’s Diocesan Building Office for four (4) parishes including: St. Christopher’s in Baldwin, NY; St John the Baptist in Central Islip, NY; Our Lady of Victory in Floral Park, NY; and Our Lady of Mercy in Cutchogue, NY.

The Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) included school buildings, churches, rectories, and convents at each of the parishes. The FCA provided a report with photographic documentation of the condition of all building elements and a cost estimate for recommended repairs. The FCA covered:

  • Site Utilities (water, sewer, gas, oil, and electric)
  • Exterior Architectural Elements (foundation, façade, doors, windows, roofs)
  • Interior Architectural Elements
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Electrical Systems
  • Structural

In addition to the Condition Report and Cost Estimate, a prioritization of repairs was also provided for the owner’s use in planning and budgeting.

Cameron Engineering prepared the Draft, Supplemental and Draft Final Environmental Impact Statements and Site Plan for a new church and community facility on a 20-acre site previously used as an equestrian facility within the Incorporated Village of Old Westbury.

Site improvements include formal drop-off areas and courtyards, parking areas, ceremonial courtyards, recreational amenities and extensive landscape treatment including ponds for stormwater management.

North Shore Community Church

The North Shore Community Church undertook capital improvements on the Church. The center ridge of the roof has a vertical deflection of approximately one foot. Prior to implementing the proposed capital improvements, the Church requested Cameron Engineering to perform the structural analysis and design of the proposed roof repairs as indicated on the structural report.
