MODEL INITIATIVES – EDUCATION AND OUTREACH
Community outreach is the most direct way to educate residents on the importance of proactively combating the effects of climate change on water resources, coastal zone, ecosystems, agriculture, energy, transportation, telecommunications, and public health.
Potential initiatives include:
- Initiate outreach to schools
- Distribute fliers to residents to educate them on energy efficiency initiatives and ways that they can make their household more efficient
- Host seminars and panels to educate community residents about the effects of Climate Change
