Partner, Site Development and Landscape Architecture
Kevin McAndrew is Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Site Development and Landscape Architectural division overseeing a wide diversity of land development projects from mixed-use developments, institutional and educational campuses, multi-family developments, single-family developments, senior housing developments, downtown streetscapes, athletic facilities and park & recreational facilities. He is a registered landscape architect, LEED Accredited Professional and Site Planning consultant with more than 30 years of professional experience. He has represented hundreds of diverse land development applications to municipal boards on Long Island and the metropolitan area as well as representing dozens of municipalities on award winning capital projects. Mr. McAndrew’s responsibilities are typically taking a project from Concept/Master Planning through regulatory entitlement, contract documentation and construction administration.
Mr. McAndrew manages a staff of civil engineers and landscape architects that bring an integrated technical, sustainable and aesthetic approach in delivering innovative design solutions to our diverse client base. He also often leads a project team of multi-disciplinary professionals including architects, engineers, planners, and scientists on projects ranging from municipal aquatic complexes to athletic complexes.
Recent and current projects under Mr. McAndrew’s direction include the Wyandanch Rising Hamlet Center development, Molloy College Master Plan implementation, Floral Park Pool Complex, St. Joseph’s College Athletic Complex, Superblock/i-Star Development in Long Beach, Spring Hill Farms- Old Westbury, Twin Rinks Complex at Eisenhower Park, Manorhaven Park Pool Complex and Mineola Properties Multi-family Mid-rise apartments located on Old Country Road, Mineola. He has represented numerous Long Island municipalities on complex Site Plan applications, planning and SEQR applications.
Mr. McAndrew has also served as an expert panelist at land use seminars, downtown redevelopment programs and zoning regulations events. Additionally, He has served as an Adjunct Professor teaching Site Planning/Land Use at Polytechnic University. Mr. McAndrew is the past president of the Design Professionals Coalition of Long Island (DPCLI), past Board Member of the Nassau Land Trust and past Board Member of the NYS Council of Landscape Architects. He currently is a Committee Member on the Village of Amityville Downtown Revitalization Committee and maintains an active membership with the American Society of Landscape Architects.
