Senior Associate, Mechanical Engineering
Mr. DeSimone has been with the firm over 25 years and has more than 35 years of experience in the industry. As Senior Associate and Chief Mechanical Engineer, Mr. De Simone functions as the project manager for the Firm’s major multi-disciplined mechanical and electrical projects. Mr. De Simone’s principal area of expertise is heating, ventilating and air conditioning for all types of systems, including HVAC controls. He has extensive Plumbing and Fire Protection design experience and is extremely knowledgeable with New York State, New York City, and local codes.
Mr. DeSimone works on all stages of a project, from research and development to design, through to installation and final commissioning. He thoroughly considers the implications of issues such as cost, safety, maintaining operations in existing facilities, and time constraints. Mr. DeSimone is diligent with clients and other professionals, within and outside the engineering sector, and will closely monitor the design, construction administration and commissioning of the M/E/P systems for the project.
As a Certified Plant Engineer, he has expert knowledge of many engineering specialties and the appropriate education and experience to take on the many responsibilities of managing a facility. He is responsible for assessments, modifying, selecting and operating plant equipment, and performs administrative duties, such as planning and budgeting of plant operation expenditures.
